Caley and Kayla's Descriptive Writing

THE TANGIWAI DISASTER

The destroyed bridge is like a crumbling biscuit after cookie monster attacked it with his teeth.

The smothered victims are like scared lost animals in quicksand, unable to escape certain death.

An exploding crater reminds me of a broken water main spouting its contents everywhere.

The slipping landslide is like a slippery try scored by Piri Weepu on a rainy day.

The flooding waters are like never-ending tears after your boyfriend breaks up with you.

The brave rescuers remind me of courageous super-heroes saving people by the minute.

Petrified witnesses are like incredible statues frozen with fright.

The moonlit night is like God's weeping eye, staring down at the destruction.
